Wow…

So it’s been kinda a while since I updated…and that is because I started school last monday…and wow…its only the second week of school and I’m already super stressed out. I’m trying to find a balance with everything, but it’s been super difficult. This year will probably be my hardest academic wise in my entire life so far…but I’m trying to hang in there.

But anyways! I’m trying to keep up with my music too, because if it’s one thing I really want, it’s to keep up with my music. I plan on finishing up Brighter days and hopefully I can post it up by the end of the week. I’ve been also hoping to start working with other people. I really want to collaborate with others, so hopefully in a couple of weeks I can get the ball rolling and have something up. I also need to work more on my website, I still have a lot of work to put into this, but I think things are going at an okay rate. Well Im going to go! Thanks for dropping by!

Oh No!

Hi Everyone!

My trip to Vegas was very fun, it was what I needed just before I go back to school, which will be next week! Oh joy…but it’s better this way, I really need to get back to focusing.

Well because of Vegas and this week being my preparation week for school, I had to cancel my piano lessons…  I really hope this does not become a habit. I really enjoy my lessons. Before, I really hated music theory and everything that comes with that territory, but I’ve come to really enjoy learning about it recently.

I spent time recording today too. I really like recording, but at the same time it’s very frustrating sometimes. I get impatient because there are times where I just can’t seem to get it right. I  have to re-record a dozen times before I am happy with a song  but even then it still sounds off. But I guess that with much practice, I’ll get better at it. I just need to keep at it. Hopefully within the next two weeks, I’ll be able to put up “Brighter Days”.

I have a nice upright piano, but I’m going start saving  for a portable keyboard. I really want something to be more portable to carry around. For sure I want an 88 weighted keyboard, but I’m sure about the brand that I want. Anyone have any suggestions? Please let me know!

Its been a while…

Wow! Its been a while since I’ve posted a new blog! Basically almost two week! >_< sorryy for that! SO A LOT has happened since then…I had another piano lesson, which turned out pretty well. I FINALLY recorded a version of Doesn’t Matter that I was very happy with. Not only that, my good friends/producers AJ and Tahir aired my song on their podcast Unfocused. I got a lot of good and positive feedback. People really seemed to like my song, which of course always makes me happy. =) Go listen to it cause it’s UP!

I’ve also been working on songs with AJ and Tahir, mostly AJ. We’ve got a few good songs that are just sitting there waiting to be recorded. I can’t wait  because I’m in the process of making so many songs for everyone to hear! I’m really excited to see what everyone has to say about it.

Also~! I am able to get my very own domain name! Things are really kicking off for my music. I really hope things continue because after next week, I’ll be starting school again =(  I have a tough year this year too. I’m taking 17 units which will equate to 7 classes. YIKES!  lol so i’m going to try and get as much done as I can. But at least I have a week and a half left of vacation. I’m really excited cause I’m going to VEGAS with my family this weekend. Hopefully it’ll be a blast. I’ll make sure to update more! Stay tuned for more stuff!

Awesome and very progressive day!

What a very progressive day!

SoOo today was like a great day for me! My piano lesson with Trang was pretty awesome! She’s completely different from my first teacher…she’s like more straight foward and usually that kind of behavior scares me or makes me feel bad, but I really like it…:lol: and thats because I think that I can REALLY go further…I grow a lot better and quicker when someone pushes me…haha so it was quite interesting…she had me do things I did like two years ago…but it’s good because I really need my fundamentals to be sharp and good…i am quite rusty…it’s been about 6 months to a whole year since ive had a piano lesson…it was so funny too because…well she straight up told me that she gave stickers and prizes to her students…and so she included me in that too…even though I’m 20 years old!!! :tongue: I found that pretty funny…so I ended up getting 6 stickers todayy…yay me! I will practice! I will improve myself! XD

After my piano lesson, I went straight to Anthony’s place to re-record some of my songs and get working on other songs I want to record in the future. You know, for some odd reason…I sound SO much better live than when I record…I find that wierd…:roll: but yeah Tahir came by too! He was working on a couple of things for the future while i recorded. If you guys have time, check out their stuff at www.collision28.com …I think they’re pretty creative…and funny…through the whole day they kept bickering like an old marry couple i swear! -_- but anyways…the only song i really got to re-record was “Doesn’t Matter”…i think I can post it up in a couple of days…but I dont know  if I really like this as my final for everyone to hear it…i’ll decide this after thinking about it…=) Well…it’s getting late…byeee!

Ideas! Ideas!

okayy! So I haven’t blogged anything in a while, so I thought I would update on what’s going on. So…I basically finished the ‘friends before boys’ song, but its just a rough final draft. After some more final touches, it should be done!

I’m working on a new concept for a song…hopefully it doesn’t sound too stupid. I’m beggining to feel like my songs are lacking substance…I really hope that’s not the case! So I’ll explain more when I get the concept down and start writing it.

On to other things…my website has SO much work to do! I don’t know what the progress is…so I can’t really say. But I know that IF I can pull this off, there will be good pictures! But the pictures are going to take A LOT of preparation and planning for. I don’t know if I can do it, but I will certainly try!

Well I’m off to bed. I can’t wait til Thursday! Hopefully I can put some stuff up after Thursday! =)  Nightt everyone!

So! After months of either being too busy or tired or letting something get in the way, I FINALLY scheduled a piano lesson for next week with my new piano teacher Trang! Hopefully I keep this up even when school starts in a couple of weeks. I really need to work on my piano skills.  

I also scheduled to record next week with my friend. I’m almost done with my mean girl song, I just want to add my friend’s rap into the mix…hopefully it’ll turn out decent! I also started a new song…lol this one is yet another ‘girls only’ song…i usually do a couple of these because…well..im a girl lol…its kind of a friends over boys song…its going pretty good so far…

Hopefully my website will be up and done in about a week… woo! Well I’m off to write some more!

First day!

So it’s my first day trying to build my website! I honestly had no idea how hard it was to build one >_< Hopefully if Cecelia has time I can have her help me with this…I have no patience or knowledge whatsoever haha. I’m getting really excited! I haven’t written music in a while, but I’ve recently started again and it feels pretty good =)

So one of the songs I’m writing about now is about “mean girls”.  Kind of corny, but I thought it was something different to write about and I felt that a lot of us, especially girls go through this at least once in our life. The lyrical part is almost done…here’s a sample:

Drama is your middle name,
You like to play those stupid games,
Gossip, rumors, and lies are all you know.
You enjoy to twist the truth,
It doesn’t matter why or who,

yeahh well I’ll keep updating, soon I’ll have actualy music uploaded and everything =p Well thanks for the support! I’ll keep updating as much as I can!
